Every brand has a beginning. Ours began with a simple question, long before we became parents:
What is the gentlest fabric a baby can ever touch?
That one question led us on a journey we never imagined.
Years ago, while visiting a quiet library in Haddon Township New Jersey USA, we discovered the fascinating story of muslin—a fabric celebrated for centuries for its incredible softness, breathability, and delicate touch. As we read more, we learned that the world's most treasured muslin, the legendary Dhaka Muslin, was born along the banks of the Meghna River in Bangladesh. It was so fine and light that it was once described as "woven air."
The story stayed with us.
Soon after, our greatest blessing arrived—our daughter. Inspired by the river that introduced us to the world's finest muslin, we named her Meghna. That beautiful connection made muslin more than just a fabric for us; it became a symbol of comfort, love, purity, and protection.
In 2017, we returned to India to build our lives closer to home. Two years later, in 2019, our son completed our family. Becoming parents to two little ones changed everything. Every decision we made—from food to clothing—was guided by one thought:
"Will this be safe and gentle for our baby?"
Naturally, we searched for the same premium muslin we had admired years before.
But what we found was disappointing.
The softest, purest muslin products were available only through a handful of premium brands, often priced beyond what many families could comfortably afford. Like countless parents, we continued purchasing them because our children deserved the very best.
Yet every purchase left us with the same question.
Why should something as essential as pure muslin be considered a luxury?
Why should parents have to choose between quality and affordability?
We believed every newborn deserves fabrics that are breathable, natural, and gentle—regardless of where their family lives or what their budget may be.
That belief slowly became a dream.
By the mid of 2025, we began searching across India for the finest organic muslin fabrics. We spent months understanding weaving techniques, testing fabric quality, comparing craftsmanship, and working closely with trusted manufacturers who shared our commitment to quality.
We refused to compromise.
Every thread had to be soft. Every stitch had to be safe. Every product had to be something we would confidently use for our own children.
After months of learning, designing, refining, and countless prototypes, our dream finally became reality.
On 25th May, ViRAN Kids was born.
The name ViRAN represents Vivek and Saranya—two parents who believed that every child deserves premium comfort without premium pricing.
Today, ViRAN Kids is more than a baby brand.
It is our promise to parents.
A promise to create thoughtfully designed essentials made with premium muslin cotton, crafted to be gentle on delicate skin, breathable for every season, and durable enough for everyday family life.
